Anjali Hansen, PhD MBA
Commercialization Strategy
Anjali is a senior technology executive with experience driving therapeutic strategy, R&D innovation and execution of precision medicine programs across pharma and medtech. Her pharma experience at Genentech and Roche included pipeline strategy and commercial execution roles in oncology, including the launch of a targeted therapeutic and its companion diagnostic (Zelboraf and the cobas BRAF test), an antibody-drug conjugate (Kadcyla), and a monoclonal antibody (Perjeta). She began her career as a Senior Scientist in computational cancer modeling, building predictive AI models for drug target identification.
Her medtech tenure at Medtronic included progressive leadership roles in R&D, program and portfolio management, and where she earned a Design Reliability Manufacturing (DRM) Black Belt certification. She has hardware and software development experience across electrosurgery, cranial and spinal technologies. In these roles, she directed billion-dollar portfolios, defined technology roadmaps, led product development and advanced AI-enabled clinical platforms.
Anjali holds a PhD in Biology from Johns Hopkins University, where she studied Molecular Biology and Biophysics, an MBA from Cornell University, and a BA in Biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College. She holds 5 USPTO-issued patents spanning electrosurgery, AI and robotics. Her research publications range from de novo protein engineering to mathematical modeling for oncology drug target identification.
