Karl is a highly accomplished CFO with a proven track record in the Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals sectors, specializing in strategic financial management and operational growth. As an award-winning leader in financial management, Karl effectively integrates within leadership teams to develop annual business plans with clear metrics and goals, both in small single-location companies and global companies.

As an experienced strategic business leader, Karl has a history of raising substantial funds and driving financial innovation. At Accure, Karl raised $35M of private placement funding through 506(b) and 506(c) offerings. At Covidien, Karl led finance teams from pre-clinical concept stages through to post 510(k) clearance and CE Mark approval. In all of his roles, Karl has led teams with full Balance Sheet and P&L responsibility, ensuring that organizations maximized sales opportunities and met profitability targets.

As a detail-oriented and innovative finance leader, Karl has developed and implemented new processes and tools tailored to the organization's needs, maintaining appropriate controls and flexibility. As CFO of Accure Acne, he identified cloud-based tools to support operations. At Covidien, this involved implementing European-wide ERP systems to support multi-billion dollar operations. This strength in innovation led to Karl's recognition with the 2013 Covidien Innovation Award in Business and Culture.

Karl earned a BA in Business from Bournemouth University and his Accountancy Qualifications through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
